Rakuv
– Graduation Project
The "Ktav Rakuv" project presents a part of my process of adaptation and the shaping of my Israeli identity. This ongoing process has covered a span of seven years since I immigrated to Israel from Switzerland. Over a period of six months, I dedicated my efforts to improving my Hebrew handwriting and my ability for self-expression in Hebrew.
The book compiles daily exercises I developed, parts from my journal entries, research on the history of Hebrew scripts, and my attempt to connect Hebrew letters based on the method I was thought to learn German handwriting.
The project won the AlefAlefAlef Award of Excellence 2023 for promoting and encouraging work in the field of Hebrew typography and language.
